Exercise Videos

  • Cup Stacking: Improve your hand eye coordination Cup stacking challenge The site starts with the easiest formation and works up to a more challenging one.
  • Locomotor Skills: There are 8 locomotor skills which we have been working on with TK and kinder students. These are the eight main ways we can move our bodies to get from one place to the next.  Next to each of the movement names is a youtube video demonstrating the movement.

Locomotor Skills

  • Walking
  • Running
  • Jumping
  • Side Slide
  • Leaping

We have already spent time in PE working on them, but It takes a lot of practice to develop these skills! Some students already have all 8 movements down. Others have some of the skills mastered and struggle with others. Our goal is to be able to correctly perform all of our locomotors before first grade. Have your child “show off” all the locomotors, make a note of any they are struggling with, and spend some extra time working on those. The best way to get better at something is to practice! When playing a game that usually involves running or while on a walk around the neighborhood, substitute out a different locomotor. I'll also list some resources to help us practice at home.
