La Tercera Participates in the 2nd Synopsys-Sonoma County STEAM Showcase

Our first and second grade STEM Eagles were among 750 students from 70 school districts who demonstrated innovative, engaging learning projects that came from teacher created project-based learning units this last report card period at La Tercera, a STEM Elementary School. Friday, March 2nd, Mrs. Galster, Mrs. Schulz and Mrs. Wilson took 10 of our students. Here is what Mrs. Jolly had to say about the event, " My students were thrilled and the microbit they coded and programmed will be an asset to our classroom for the rest of the year. The parents who attended were also thrilled and I overheard one of them say, "I can tell she goes to a STEM school by the way she speaks and asks questions at home." I am so proud of our amazing STEM teachers willing to go the extra mile to provide our Eagles real-life experiences in STEM at such an early age. Research shows that this kind of engagement early is key to a lifelong passion for all things STEMmy. Thank you La Tercera teachers! Mrs. Hodge
