It is suggested that you interview your potential counselor to see if it is a personality match, and if they "specialize" in any way in the particular issue you need support with (divorce, children, anxiety, etc). It can often take visitng with several different counselors before you land on one that feels like a "good fit". Don't give up! There is support out there for you.
