The OAUSD Special Education Department serves students with identified disabilities through a continuum of programs and services. OAUSD has a Resource Specialist Program at each school site and three Special Day Class programs on the Miwok Valley Language Academy Campus.
Our specially trained staff utilize technology and evidenced-based practices to ensure student participation in the curriculum with access to specialized programming. The department employs highly qualified special education teachers, psychologists, speech therapists and an occupational therapist. School-based Physical Therapy and Adaptive Physical Education services are available for those students requiring such services indicated on their IEP.
