School Board

The Board of Trustees traditionally meets the second and fourth Thursday of each month, with special meetings as announced. The Board has voted to have only one meeting per month with special meetings called at their discretion. A new Board meeting schedule for 2015 will be voted upon at the Organizational Meeting in December 2014.

With “Excellence for Learning” as our mission, our vision is one of establishing high expectations in an environment of caring and nurturing where each child achieves his or her personal best. Staff members in this system are proactive, efficacious and resourceful about improving student learning and raising expectations; at the same time they are accountable to their students, parents, and principals.

All meetings scheduled are on Thursdays. Special Board Meetings may be called at the discretion of the Board. All Board Member Standing Committees will be posted in advance of the regular committee meetings.
Our district school board is committed to providing leadership that brings the best education to the young people of Petaluma.  Please feel free to share ideas, questions about our district, or concerns with any of our board members.
